 In Memory of Sey-J

As many of you know, Sey-J, one of the Teardrops to Rainbow's children, lost his battle with cancer on July 17, 2010.  Sey-J, age 9, was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 4 and had successfully beaten cancer twice. His cancer came back with a vengence this time; however, and he lost the fight.

Sey-J was a popular little boy at many of the Teardrops function, many of you may have met him at one or another of the events.  Sey-J was one of those incredible individuals that seldom complained, had an infectious smile, and seemed to be more concerned with you than himself.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Teardrops to Rainbows.

2010...Our Eighth Year -- Infinite Possibilites to Contribute through Out of the Box Thinking!  Remember, it 'Takes a Village' to make a difference.

Our focus in 2010, while continuing to support oncology children (and their families) of all ages throughout our network of hospitals (Inova, Georgetown and Childrens National Medical Center) has given special attention to the basic needs of our families.

In 2010, the needs of and increase in the number of families more than doubled, causing T2R to reduce the dollars alllocated to each family in order to accomodate the increase in the volume of our families in need.   This situation is a first for T2R, and it has caused us to become more creative and to call on the support of the T2R community more than ever.  In 2010, we recognize and celebrate those groups, individuals, families and corporations who have jumped-in to give time, money, and heart to support the growing demands and increase in volume of our T2R families
